The phrase a glutton for punishment comes to mind when I consider my own appetites and limits. Getting my bare butt smacked with hard wood till I can’t take any more and then a few more until my ass glows pink with red highlights always leaves me in a heightened state.  This usually lasts a few days so getting spanked day after day is not really necessary. However since the aforementioned gluttony is a large part of my makeup if the opportunity arises moderation goes out the window.

Just Getting Started

It’s a good idea to spread out your spankings to keep your ass soft and sensitive, if I get spanked 2 or 3 days in a row it takes more and longer spanking to achieve the same results. Eventually the skin takes on a leathery texture and I would laugh at a standard paddling. That’s not really a problem but my spanker would wear out before I have had enough.

I don’t know exactly what draws me to the common wooden hairbrush but I find that particular implement extremely compelling. After I had accepted that I am a spankophile I would often wander down the aisles of many stores looking at the various types of hairbrushes for sale. The plastic ones seemed just wrong, and the whole series of brushes with membrane inserts really amplify the sound but are rather light to do the trick. My favorite brush actually came from a web site declaring it to be the perfect spanking brush. I think it was Pacific Force that offered this solid wooden brush that delivers a solid smack.

I have also been antiquing and while my companions looked for plates or thimbles I would invariably scan the display cases for brushes. There were many to choose from, I do believe that the ivory variety to be far too delicate to be used as a paddle. Sterling silver backed brushes looked very formidable indeed. These implements were often heavily patterned with crevasse and whirls that should leave interesting marks. I have never purchased any of these brushes and have only seen them used in drawings and in a poorly adapted film “Exit to Eden”. There is a nice spanking scene where Dana Delany applies one of these silver backed brushes to a tied up, naked Paul Mecurio.

Just a couple examples of the silver backed hairbrush. Some of these are too patterned to really be used, and I remember reading somewhere that these brushes were often given to a spouse for the appropriate occasion.

Chross Guide to the Spanking Internet pointed out an article entitled 12 Films with Sexy Spanking Scenes on a site called The Frisky. The author selected 12 scenes from movies, an interesting selection but considering the title I believe there are many more superior examples.

There also was an element of the slapstick in spanking scenes so I thought I would post this short clip. This comes from a movie called A Cinderella Story. This story has been retold many times but this version is somewhat twisted. The evil step sisters get some payback in a car wash. Not really spanking but odd enough to note.

I have to admit that I find it extremely amusing that the comic books of my youth have been translated into massively successful films. Superman was my favorite, but Spider Man, Iron Man, X-men, and Batman have been very popular. I am still waiting for another, Doctor Strange, this could be great or another Fantastic Four.

Recently a different kind of comic was made into a movie. The Spirit, a comic about a supposedly deceased cop resurrected as a costumed crime fighter. I don’t think the movie did well despite the stellar cast; I am talking about the women of course, Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson (self proclaimed eye candy), Paz Vega, Stana Katic, and Jaime King; plus the undeniable talents of Frank Miller and Will Eisner.

From IMDB: In an interview with Total Film magazine, Frank Miller admitted that he shouted “Cut!” instead of “Action!” just before filming Paz Vega‘s scene because he was so distracted by her costume. I can believe it.

Anyway I watched this movie in a kind of distracted way since I was not all that familiar with the subject, when Eva photocopied her derrière.Then The Spirit identifies the Perfect Ass from the photocopy.

Now the funniest part of this segment is the Spirit taking the photocopy and showing it like a mug shot. Of course the doorman who identifies it is very short and was at eye level.

I don’t know about perfect but completely spankable!

Despite my long interest in all things spanking I have not had much exposure to the traditional English cane. I do remember a movie in which a cabin boy, the captain’s son I believe is wrongly caned for carving his initials in a table. The movie is called Damn the Defiant. The clip is available on YouTube. I had recently come across the phrase “Kiss the Gunner’s Daughter” from this clip and following the trail read that this meant to bend over or be tied to cannon for beating. The least severe punishment of that time was a bare bottom caning. Caning was thought to be so minor that it was often unremarked. From there thing escalated rather quickly, a midshipman could be sentenced to up to 48 lashes with a multi tailed cat which the junior office had to make himself. An account can be found here

Wrong Try Again

Anyway I have never used a cane or been caned myself. I have experimented with rods of various materials, wooden dowels, plastic, wire and metal. I assume that the principal is rather similar. When you swing a flexible rod it bends and releases the energy when it strikes the target. I don’t think that you have to swing a cane really hard to impart lots of stinging especially if the cane is flexible. If I am wrong here I would like more information especially if I get the chance to try it out for myself.

Thats More Like It!

I am very curious about caning since the use of the cane is so unusual here. I do think that the effect of a caning can be very mild to extremely intense depending on how the rod is applied.
