You may have noted that none of my dogs are named Spot; however there is a missing element in my life. With any luck Spot will return and try to tell me just who fell down the well this time, or what the problem is now. I am willing to offer a reward but it seems to me that relying on the kindness of strangers might work better for me than simply offering a cash stipend for the kind of assistance I am seeking,

I will be traveling again to Southern California and if there is anyone willing to even broach the subject of trying to find my missing pet I would be grateful. It does seem to me an awful lot to ask of complete strangers but as has been pointed out in the popular media many years before; nobody’s perfect. If you don’t ask well there you have it.
